Milton Avery: Progressive Images

Sun, Jan 8, 1989 through Thu, Feb 16, 1989

Milton Avery’s New York career spanned the Depression era through the 1960s. This exhibition features some forty of his drawings, watercolors, and oils, which have never before been collected together in a public exhibition. The focus is the artist’s evolutionary process as traced through the interrelationship of his works on paper and his oil paintings and the development of his landscape theme.

Events and exhibitions are free and open to the public unless stated otherwise. Visitor information
