Description

Rückriem's Normandy granite work recollects the history and tradition of sculpture from menhirs to architectural niches to the essence of modern forms. However, there are ruptures in his evocation of time because Rückriem has bored into the natural stone. Sitting like a sentinel, the work references geological and cultural epochs.
