  • Erik Fretheim is the director of the Computer and Information Systems Security Program, a joint academic program between WWU and Whatcom Community College, with the goal of preparing students for the rapidly growing field of cybersecurity. Fretheim has a doctorate degree in electrical engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology and an MBA in International Business from Long Island University. 

  • Corrinne Sande is the Director of Whatcom Community College’s Computer Sciences and Information System Program and the Principal Investigator for Cyberwatch West, an NSF funded ATE center designed to develop security awareness and to disseminate best practices in cybersecurity. She has co-organized the Pacific Rim Regional Cyber Defense Competition with the UW and Highline Community College for five years.
