The Western Gallery is thrilled to host WWU’s Institute for Critical Disability Studies for a panel discussion. In the panel, entitled Disability Existence, Resistance, Community and Care in 2025, students, faculty, and staff will discuss their experiences with disability in their lives and work but also focus on how they have worked to carve out space for community and visibility in places where disabled people and voices are implicitly or explicitly excluded. We will focus on steps to take or opportunities for action, as panelists and attendees talk about what work they’re doing, identify current needs or gaps in terms of support, and brainstorm possibilities. This event is free and open to the public.
To view the event remotely, join the panel by Zoom.
