Lia Cook is a visual artist who combines weaving with painting, photography, video, and digital technology. Cook explores the sensuality of the woven image and the emotional connection to memories of touch and cloth.  Working in collaboration with neuroscientists, she investigates the nature of the physiological response to woven faces by mapping these responses in the brain.  She is professor emeritus at California College of Arts.
