’93 Faculty Show
Dates
Every two years, the Western Gallery displays the work of the faculty of the Department of Art. The '93 biannual is one of the largest faculty shows since the new gallery opened in 1989 as the gallery honored four retiring faculty, welcomed three new faculty as well as highlighted nine current full-time faculty. This exhibition honors several professors who are retiring - David Marsh, Tom Schlotterback and Gene Vike - and one professor in memoriam - Lawrence Hanson. It presents newcomers to the department - Ed Bereal, Aris Georgiades and Kent Smith - and gives a cross section of the present 9 member studio faculty in the Department of Art: Embrey, Gleeson, Jensen, Johnston, McCormick, Mcintyre, Reed, Urso and Vassdal-Ellis.
